Very happy to announce that now that the weather is cooling down, we are getting a full field of players. Be sure to confirm your attendance early as the course doesnt always have extra tee times.

Birthday lady Elsie Bruce scored 20 points to take the win on her special day!
Newcomer Jo Ann Higgins also scored well with 18 points to win second.

As the weather is starting to cool down, we are seeing more and more people emerge for Monday night golf. Great turnout and atmosphere at the M's bar!

In first place, Ian Houghton shot 21 points to take the lead. It was his second time attending, and rest assured his handicap will be cut ! Well done !
Randall Mohammed was not far behind with 18 points for second place.
Honourable mentions to Simon Earl and Fathi Busaidy for scoring 17 points each.

And, NTP included Dave Minchin & Russell Yeomans

No newcomers to welcome this week & the group average was decent at 13 points.

Sept 9th Meydan

What a strange day for golf ! A massive sandstorm hit Dubai around 5 pm, just like in the movie Mission Impossible. We got to Meydan early where the golf was declared cancelled if conditions stayed like that... understandably, people cancelled, but the keen die hard golfers found their way to Meydan. By 6:30 pm or so, the storm subsided and we were able to play. It turned into a beautiful evening for golf, with cooler than usual conditions.

It was a slightly different format with a winner for individual and pairs, as well as the NTP.

This week Elsie Bruce won 1st place with an outstanding 18 points !
And, Russell & Fathi won the pairs division with 20 points.
Congrats !

Sept 7th Montgomerie Weekend Event

After many outstanding weekend events at different courses around the region, Russell and I decided it was time to bring the society to The Montgomerie, our home course.

We made a Committee decision to use 3/4 EGF handicaps instead of the society handicaps to make an even playing field for our regular members & newcomers. And, we also introduced a betterball pairs competition in addition to our individual stableford comp.

The day was a great success with a full field, and a good time was had by all. The weather was not too hot, the golf course was in super condition & we were in good company.

We are just over half way through our fourth Faldo Eclectic !
The field is tight and we are playing some exciting golf.

This week we had a three way tie for first between Elsie Bruce, Filip Ranebo & Randy Mohammed, each scoring 16 points. Our group average was just that pretty "average" at 13 points.
Eric "Lefty" Koeman came in a close second scoring 15 points.
